In Arizona, Adoption of Amended Local Bankruptcy Procedure

The Local Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure for the District of Arizona, as amended March 1, 2007, replace in their entirety and supersede the Local Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure that were adopted effective September 30, 1996, and all amendments thereto and said Local Rules are hereby suspended. The Amended Local Rules, March 1, 2007, are attached hereto as a complete package. The Amended Local Rules supplement, or if permitted, modify the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. The Amended Local Rules shall be construed to be consistent with such Federal Bankruptcy Rules to promote speedy and inexpensive litigation.

The Amended Local Bankruptcy Rules shall be effective March 1, 2007, and shall apply to all cases, contested matters or proceedings pending or commenced on or after March 1,2007.

The attached Amendments to the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, as revised October 1, 2006, to include the new and revised Official Forms, are adopted as Interim Rules and apply to those cases that are subject to the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005.
