Docket

A docket is a list of documents and actions related to a specific bankruptcy case or adversary proceeding. The clerk of the bankruptcy court is responsible for keeping and maintaining the docket. A docket may contain information regarding the time and place of specific bankruptcy hearings. A docket also usually contains specific information regarding deadlines, such as when the bankruptcy court requires responses to pleadings related to a bankruptcy case. A docket is simply a piece of paperwork used by the clerk of the bankruptcy court which aids in the organization and schedule of bankruptcy proceedings. Dockets and other official items of paperwork that are maintained by the clerk are increasingly stored in digital form, which saves natural resources and cuts down on unnecessary paper waste.
